![]() ![]() If anyone has any ideas or has had a similar experience I'd appreciate the help, kind of stumped here. If I attempt to trascode the footage to DNxHD the resulting MXF is simply a black video with audio. Where a normal 10 Bit file will have a duration of say 11.01, the V-Log file will say 11.23040. Whereas before I would be able to see a preview of the footage if I scrubbed over the file icons with the mouse the V-Log files don't react at all. The files appear to be the same as the other 10 Bit ones straight from the SD card, but once I look at them in Media Encoder I can see that they are different for some reason. Where am I going wrong I'm using the Resolve 14 public beta. However, when I import footage that's been shot in the V-Log profile this procedure doesn't seem to work. I got my GH5 the other day and downloaded Resolve for the first time, so it's more than likely a simple mistake but at the moment I'm getting a 'Media Offline' when importing 10bit 4k footage. I'm not sure what my project color settings should be. ![]() Especially getting skin tones looking natural, and matching other footage. Once they are transcoded they function just like normal MXFs. Posted MaI'm having a bit of trouble color correcting HLG footage from the GH5 in Davinci Resolve. The files that come straight from the camera will only play audio without being transcoded, and when they appear in the file browser on the left in Media Encoder they appear only as icons until you scrub over them with the mouse and the footage becomes visible. My normal workflow for dealing with 10 Bit files is to copy them from the SD card and immediately transcode them in Media Encoder into MXFs. As you know, the free version wont directly import 10-bit 422 UHD clips from the GH5 into the media pool and requires them to be transcoded prior to import. However, when I shoot in the V-Log profile the transcoded footage is simply black video with the recorded audio. Im using the free version of Resolve 16 for editing 10-bit footage from my Panasonic GH5, and would like to understand how to optimize my workflow for both time and quality. Normally for 10 Bit footage I need to transcode it into something like DNxHD before Premiere will work with it, which is a bit of extra hassle but at least I can get there in the end. I know that the issues with the Adobe CC and the Gh5's 10Bit files are well documented at this stage, but I don't seem to be able to find much about this particular problem that I'm having. ![]()
